The Gamma Phi chapter (#93) was installed at Southwestern State College on September 29, 1968. Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma National Executive Secretary Robert Robin served as the installing officer, and the Alpha Chapter served as the installing chapter. Charter members include: Celeste Lucille Bailey, Patty Joan Brumfield, Penny Ann Brumfield, Carol June (Muske) Ladd, Eleanor Jo Ross, Willeta Faye Lamkin, and Carolyn Cornett Howell.
